Find Your Party: A Connection Quest

Maybe you just got to College Station, or maybe you’ve called it home for years! Maybe you’re looking for people to game with, trying to make friends outside of class or work, or just wishing you knew a few more people who get excited about the same wonderfully nerdy things you do.

That’s what this night is for!!

Join Critical Match and Clockwork Games for a Connection Quest bringing together gamers, hobbyists, and all-around nerdy humans for an evening built around making new connections.

Whether your table is covered in Magic cards, character sheets, meeples, miniatures, deck boxes, or a board game with a rulebook you swear is “actually pretty simple,” you’re invited.

Connection Quests take some of the awkwardness out of meeting new people. We’ll start with time to settle in, grab a drink, browse the shop, and mingle before moving into short, guided conversations around the things we already have in common: board games, card games, TTRPGs, fandom, favorite characters, ridiculous table stories, and whatever else gets your nerdy little heart excited.

You don’t need to come with anyone. You don’t need to be wildly outgoing. And you definitely don’t need to be an expert at anything.

We’ll give you the social armor, conversation prompts, and plenty of opportunities to find the people you click with.

You might leave with a new Commander pod, a future campaign member, a board game buddy, someone to explore College Station with, or simply a few more familiar faces the next time you walk into Clockwork.

We’ll also be celebrating the Reality Fracture MTG release, but you absolutely do not need to be a Magic player to join the quest.
